Call for Sessions/Workshops

Call for sessions
Deadline - Friday, 12 July 2019

Want to organise a high-quality session at the AMOS 2020? We’re calling for your expressions of interest.

This will be the first year the AMOS Annual Meeting is held in Fremantle. Given the location, we'll be focusing on the pressing issues of water availability and the Indian Ocean and the role it plays in global and regional climate. Many delegates are keen to visit Western Australia for its well-known observational record of weather and climate, and sites of intriguing field experiments.

In addition to the focus on the Indian Ocean, we will also have a water theme to the conference. The Fremantle area has had to adapt to decreasing freshwater supply and with the recent drought conditions in the southeast of the continent, managing water is a topic of growing importance, both in Australia and worldwide.

Sessions may be aligned with Indian Ocean Meteorology and Climatology or Water, or cover any topic relevant to the general AMOS science community.

If you are interested in convening a session, please submit via the form at by Friday, 12 July 2019.
